155 of you shared your experiences of health and social care with us in October.

The feedback was made up of:

  • 80 complaints

  • 50 concerns

  • 25 compliments

Services people talked about most

You dicussed GPs most frequently, followed by Dentistry and then Pharmacy.

  • You mentioned GPs 64 times

" Can't get gp appointments for 3wks ,and everything is through a anima system which disabled people cant access easily (being able to talk to a receptionist to book appointments would be better."
"I find it unacceptable that you can still not get to see a doctor in person as appointments are done via a telephone call. This does not allow for proper communication and allows for no examination. Plus you are expected to have things like your own blood pressure machime."

We have also now published our GP report – read it here.

  • You mentioned Dentistry 14 times

" need more NHS dentists. I have to travel miles for and NHS dentist, luckily I can drive as absolutely no public transport, none!"
"They are really helpful and friendly all three services are so much better than a few years ago there are so many new people within the three services (dentist/gp/pharmacy)."

If you are struggling to find an NHS dentist, we recommend going on the NHS website to search for practices providing NHS dental care. Sometimes they are not updated correctly, and it can be a long process of calling different practices, but is still the best way to go about it. If you need urgent treatment, call 111.

  • You mentioned Pharmacy 10 times

" Boots chemist in Bransgore are really good. They communicate with me and get things sorted."
" Pharmacy 24 was better than Lloyds. Much easier to use the service online for prescriptions by post"

Key themes and providers

"Access to services" was most frequent theme of feedback, with 20 pieces of feedback. "Quality of treatment" was the second most common theme with 19 pieces of feedback, then in 3rd place was "Waiting for appointments and treatment, waiting lists" and "Caring, kindness, respect and dignity" with 17 each.

The most frequent providers mentioned were Hampshire & IoW NHS Foundation Healthcare Trust with 13 mentions, The Willow Group with 8 mentions, and Queen Alexandra with 7 mentions.

What happens next

We will use this feedback to help improve services by:
