NHS app update: patient information in the ‘Consultations’ tab has been moved to the 'Appointments' tab

Recently, we discovered that the 'Consultations' tab could no longer be found on the home screen in the NHS App.

The old 'Consultation' tab was where patients' health records were stored, however the contents of that page have been moved to the 'Appointments' tab on the 'Home' page.

What are your 'appointment notes' on NHS app?

Your 'Appointment notes and other updates' include all of your health information, including:

• Test results

• Documents

• Appointment notes

Because this information is sensitive, you will need to ask your surgery for access to your full health record in the NHS App.

Where is your health information located in the NHS App?

1. Go to the 'Home' page, click the 'Appointments' tab

2. Click the 'Appointment notes and other updates' tab

3. Click the 'Continue' button

4. Contact your GP surgery to grant you the access to your health information in the NHS app if you haven't done it yet
