Join South Central Ambulance's volunteer patient panel

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) launched its Volunteer Patient Panel in 2024, and they are looking for more volunteers to help them continue to improve and shape the future of our services.

The panel is made up of people just like you who can provide a valuable insight into their experience of using SCAS services. As a volunteer you will be able to share your views and contribute to service developments across the Trust, including 999 emergency services, NHS 111, and the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS).
They recognise that people have different levels of availability and experience, so with this in mind they have three flexible levels of volunteer involvement:
Influence (Chair & Sub-Group Chair) – Volunteers will have active involvement in meetings and committees to support decision-making and service development.
Co-produce – Volunteers will contribute ideas, experiences, and feedback through meetings and discussion groups to help inform improvements.
Consult – a flexible volunteering option involving occasional surveys, feedback requests, and consultation on strategies, campaigns, and publications.
All three levels are equally important and offer meaningful opportunities to help improve services for patients across the region. They are keen to welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, beliefs and cultures, so if you are aged 16 or over, live within Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, or Hampshire and want to be part of a great team of volunteers that can make a real difference to their patients or wish to find out more, please visit their website https://scas.goassemble.com .
