We argue strongly that people need to be involved in deciding what care is needed, and how it should be organised.
Summary
During 2018 -19:
- 4152 people shared their health and social care story with us
- 115 volunteers helped us carry out our work across the year
- We gave information and signposting advice to 3588 enquirers
- We visited 8 services to understand people’s experiences of care. From these visits, we made 81 recommendations for improvement
- Our helpdesk took 1167 calls, averaging 34 minutes each call
- 257,923 people engaged with us, through our website and social media
