Let's Talk About Prostate Cancer Webinar: 4th February 2022

Friday 4 February 2022 is World Cancer Day and to mark the day, Wessex Cancer Alliance, in partnership with Dorset Race Equality Council and Wessex Voices are holding an online event, Let’s Talk About Prostate Cancer. The event will be taking place from 1-2pm and bookings are now live.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 4 men from Black African, Caribbean, and Black British communities – which is twice as many as the 1 in 8 men it affects from other communities. Black men are also at risk from a younger age than other men.
Let’s Talk About Prostate Cancer will feature a range of experts with personal and clinical experience in this area who will share their knowledge and advice to empower Black men and their families to discuss prostate cancer and provide them with the tools and awareness to access support.
The event will cover:
- Signs and symptoms
- Personal experiences of prostate cancer
- The PSA test
- Next steps and questions
Guest speakers will include Consultant urological surgeon, Professor Frank Chinegwundoh MBE along with representatives from Prostate Cancer UK, Black History Month South and Pompey in the Community. The team would like to invite as many people to join this webinar and learn more about prostate cancer.
