Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

Monday 18th October 2021 marked Anti-Slavery Day- an opportunity to raise awareness of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery. Here, we share some safeguarding resources to help to keep you and others safe.

  • Modern Slavery Presentation:  the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Modern Slavery Partnership has developed the following presentation to raise awareness and understanding of modern slavery
  • Each police district in Hampshire has a single point of contact for modern slavery. If you do have an enquiry then you can now (as an additional option) contact your local district modern slavery officer via 101, requesting to speak with them if you want to report a potential incident of modern slavery.   • The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Modern Slavery Partnership has created the first ever victim pathway for modern slavery covering Hampshire, IOW, Portsmouth and Southampton. View it here 

If you have any queries or concerns, there is a Modern Slavery helpline- you can find the details by clicking here. If you come across a situation where someone is in immediate danger then please call the Police on 999 or for non-emergencies 101.  Together we can look to tackle this crime and bring support to those being exploited.
